HOMEMADE MUESLI

It still surprises me to find how many people still don't start the day with a substantial, nutritious and energising breakfast. Are you aware there are around 2-3 teaspoons of sugar in your box of ceral? That 'healthy granola' you are pouring into your bowl is included in this! Given that an apple also has 2 teaspoons or sugar, a slice of bread has 1 teaspoon and the reccomended daily intake of sugar is around 6 teaspoon (approx 25grams) - that leaves us pretty much screwed! So the idea is to cut the sugar where you can. So my answer, make this: Homemade Muesli. - oats - mixed nuts, roughly chopped - dessicated coconut - cinnamon - 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence - cranberries/currents/raisins - mixed seeds - 3-4 tablespoons of chia seeds Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl, adding more or less ingredients to your preference, there is no secret code here, add more of what you love, be creative. Go to muesli town with this! Then, top with natural yoghurt, berries or banana. Eat in the sunniest spot of your house, cat adds bonus happiness to your morning. Shani x
