Sometimes the hilly burbs of south east London just doesn't satisfy my nature needs, luckily just a short drive or train ride away is Box Hill! You wont be disappointed. You'll be rewarded with stunning views, hills, canopys, valleys & streams. It's a popular spot with romantics, families, joggers and dog walkers so you wont necessarily be alone, although you may find it refreshing to see other like minded people out enjoying the peace and wilderness with you. There is a cafe, ample parking and various walks. For a enjoyable but not too strenuous walk (excluding the actual climb of Box Hill) choose the Stepping Stones walk - it'll take around 1.5hrs.
